About Me

Nimisha Bhatia, PT, Pelvic Health Specialist

Licensed Physical Therapist | Founder of The Pelvister

Hi and Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here—because if you’re visiting this website, chances are you’re             seeking support for pelvic health, either for yourself or someone you care about. And you’re in the               right place.

I’m Nimisha Bhatia, a licensed Physical Therapist and specialized in Pelvic Health. I’m also a mother           to a spirited daughter and the wife to a wonderfully supportive husband. But beyond my credentials           and family life, I bring something deeply personal to this work: my own story.

Like many of you, I struggled with postpartum pelvic health changes. I still remember the moment I             realized something was wrong—I was at work, recovering from a cough that wouldn’t stop, only to               realize that I had leaked urine while coughing. It was shocking and disheartening. Soon after, I began         experiencing vaginal pain that made intimacy difficult. These were things I never imagined I’d go                 through, and certainly not as a physical therapist myself.

What made it harder was the response I got when I sought help: I was told, “It’s normal,” or “Welcome         to motherhood.” But it didn’t feel normal to me—and it wasn’t. When I couldn’t find the answers I                   needed, I decided to find them myself. I refused to accept what I was going through and immersed             myself in pelvic floor therapy education, completed specialized courses from one of the best pelvic             rehab institutions in the United States, trained extensively, and ultimately became my own first                     patient. With time, dedication, right everyday practices and  right exercises, I healed.

That experience changed the course of my career. I’m passionate about helping others reclaim their           pelvic health—whether you are young or an older adult, postpartum, aging, recovering from surgery, or         just trying to understand your body better.

Through the LIVE online classes offered her, I combine movement, education, and evidence-based               techniques to empower both women and men to feel stringer and confident from he inside out.

Pelvic floor issues are common—but they’re absolutely treatable. I’ve lived it, I’ve overcome it. And             now, I’m here to help you do the same.
